VFS Global runs Ukraine's visa centres in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore for the Embassy of Ukraine. Register the form on visa.mfa.gov.ua, book a VFS slot with its reference number, attend Monday to Friday 9:00–17:00 with documents and fees, track online, and collect the passport at the same centre. The embassy's consul decides.
Your visa file reaches the embassy through a VFS centre, so the ground and its documents have to be right on the day of the appointment. The embassy's visa page states that the centres provide only pre-decision services, and every decision is made by Ukraine's consular officers (Embassy of Ukraine in Pakistan). Booking the appointment
Start with the visa type. VFS lists the long-term grounds: study, work at a Ukrainian company, work at a branch of a foreign company or bank, spouse and family reunion, plus short-term business, tourism and private visits. Then complete and register the application form on visa.mfa.gov.ua; VFS asks you to start there and come back with the reference number to book a slot on its Ukraine–Pakistan site. Book once the document behind your ground is in hand: for work, the issued work permit; for study, the registered university invitation.
You pay two amounts: the consular fee set by the embassy (D-04 work visa USD 404, most other Type D grounds USD 70), in US dollars at designated Faysal Bank branches, and the VFS service charge in rupees at the centre, shown on the “pay your fees” step of the VFS site. Tracking and collecting the passport
Keep the receipt: its reference number and your last name open the VFS tracking page. VFS emails you when the decision is back at the centre, and some centres add SMS updates. The consul has up to 10 working days, extendable to 30, under Resolution No. 118, para. 19; how the rest of the route adds up is in Ukraine processing times. Collecting the passport after the decision carries no additional fee.
Before you pay anyone for a slot
Every booking is made on the VFS site with your own form reference. Offers of a “guaranteed” slot, or of a visa arranged through VFS staff, come from outside the official channel; how such agents operate is in fake visa agents in Pakistan.
