Translate Pakistani documents into Ukrainian only after the MoFA apostille, and translate the apostille with them. A Ukrainian notary certifies the translator's signature (Law “On Notariat”, Art. 79), or a Ukrainian consul certifies the translation abroad (Art. 38). The law sets no term for translation; it follows the page count, and we confirm it in the quote.
Translation is the last step before a Pakistani document can be used in Ukraine, and the step where order matters most. A translation made too early leaves the apostille untranslated; a name spelled two ways across the set raises questions at every counter. This page sets out the order, who certifies the translation, which documents your route needs translated, and what decides the time.

Which documents need a Ukrainian translation
| Document | Where it is used | Order before translation |
|---|---|---|
| Passport pages (work permit) | Employer’s work permit application | Copies of the passport pages with a Ukrainian translation certified in the established way (Law No. 5067-VI, Art. 42-2) |
| Degree, transcript, school certificate | Study route, visa or residence file where asked | HEC or IBCC, then MoFA apostille, then translation of the document and the apostille |
| Police certificate | Visa file when the consul asks (Res. 118, para. 10) | District Police, MoFA apostille, then translation |
| Nikah Nama, birth certificates | Family reunification and children’s files | Union Council or NADRA, MoFA apostille, then translation |
| Power of attorney | Company registration through a representative | Notarised, apostilled at MoFA in person, then translated |
The list depends on your ground. A work permit needs only the passport translation from you; the visa and residence files can need more. The full rules are in translation requirements.
Who certifies the translation
Inside Ukraine, the translator signs the translation and a notary certifies the authenticity of that signature (Law of Ukraine “On Notariat”, Art. 79). Outside Ukraine, Ukrainian consular officers perform notarial acts, including certifying that a translation is correct (Art. 38). For the work permit, the law asks for passport pages with a translation certified in the established way (Law No. 5067-VI, Art. 42-2). These are the two forms set out in Ukrainian law; for any other form, confirm with the receiving authority before you order.
What decides the time
Ukrainian law sets no term for translation. The time follows the number of pages, how many documents carry stamps and handwriting, and the notary's schedule. The Pakistani steps before it, at HEC and MoFA, have their own terms; they are in the legalisation timeline. We confirm the translation term for your documents in the quote.
Two checks before you order a translation
First, the apostille: every document that needs one should already carry it, because the translation covers the apostille too. Why the order cannot be reversed is in apostille before translation. Second, the spelling: your name, your father's name and dates should match the Latin line of your passport across the whole set. A mismatch found after translation means a new translation and a new notarial certificate.
