Company registration FAQ

Founders, capital, tax, banking. A reference page for Pakistani applicants pursuing lawful Ukrainian migration.

Direct answer

A Pakistani national can own 100% of a Ukrainian LLC (TOV); registration at the state registrar takes roughly 1–3 working days once documents are ready, with charter and translation adding a week or two. Founder or director status can support a residence permit, but never replaces a Type D visa. Decisions rest with the Ukrainian authorities.

What this is

Founders, capital, tax, banking. The page does not constitute binding legal advice; for case-specific guidance, see our paid legal consultation service.

Why it matters for Pakistani applicants

Each Ukrainian procedure has a specific intersection with Pakistani documentation requirements — apostille via MoFA, HEC verification where applicable, sworn translation in Ukraine. Skipping any link in that chain produces refusal at the consular stage. This page describes the chain.

How we use this in practice

Our intake checklists reference this page directly. When we open a file, the steps described here are the steps we execute. Where the page is silent, we resolve case-by-case through the engagement.

FAQ

Can a Pakistani national own a Ukrainian company?
Yes. Foreign nationals can be founders, participants (shareholders), and directors of a Ukrainian ТОВ (LLC). There are no nationality restrictions on business ownership.
Does owning a Ukrainian company automatically give me a visa?
No. Company registration is a basis for a TRP, but you must still obtain a type D long-stay visa at the Ukrainian consulate for Pakistan before entering Ukraine to apply for the TRP. No private party can guarantee the outcome.
How long does it take to register a Ukrainian company?
Registration at the state registrar takes 1–3 working days after submitting the correct documents. Preparation of the charter, founder decision, and translation typically takes 1–2 weeks.
Do I need a Ukrainian address to register a company?
Yes. A registered address is required. This can be a real office, a virtual office service (legally registered), or a private address. The address appears in the state register (EDR).
What documents do I need from Pakistan to register a company?
Typically a notarised copy of your passport, potentially translated and apostilled depending on the document. Apostille at Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs comes before Ukrainian translation. Our lawyers advise on the exact requirements.
What are the ongoing obligations of a Ukrainian company?
Quarterly tax filings (or nil filings if no activity), annual reporting to the state registrar, and maintaining a valid registered address. Failure to file results in fines and can complicate TRP renewal.
Can I sell the company and keep my TRP?
If you sell your shareholding and are no longer a founder or director, the basis for your founder-ground TRP evaporates. You would need a new TRP basis before completing the sale.
Is the information on this page binding legal advice?
No. It is reference material for Pakistani applicants. Binding advice on your case requires a paid legal consultation, and no private party can guarantee any permit or visa outcome.
How often is it updated?
Quarterly, or when a relevant rule change is announced. See the Updates section.
Where can I verify this against the Ukrainian government?
See the Official Sources block on this page, plus the Library → Official Resources section.
